Set against the backdrop of autumn, crimson leaves, and a Shinto shrine, this work blends a distinctly Japanese atmosphere with fantasy and mystery.

As autumn deepens, crimson leaves adorn the branches, while a girl in a hakama stands amid a cascade of falling leaves.
Soft autumn light filters through the branches, enveloping the entire scene in a tranquil, dreamlike atmosphere.
Below is the lacquer edition,The lacquer-edition print is crafted using Japan’s traditional premium lacquer technique, “Wajima-nuri.”
The distinctive subdued luster of Wajima-nuri adds a sense of weight and refined texture to the image, creating a striking contrast with the vivid colors of the autumn leaves.
As the background occupies a large portion of the composition, considerable time was also spent depicting details such as the shrine, trees, and crimson leaves. Layer upon layer of foliage, the serene shrine, and the subtle interplay of light and shadow come together to create an autumnal space filled with a sense of story.
As for the pattern on the hakama, it was a detail to which Hiten paid particularattentioncarefully.
